Designer or Main Stream- DVF Unleashed

DVF Noelle Top (above).
Okay, so today I walked into Ann Taylor Loft and can I tell you after having purchased a few Diane Von Furstenberg tops, what a waste on spending on a designer label?! I'm a little annoyed that I took the tags off and have entered a point of no return but wanted to get your thoughts on these two designs.

I have to say that honestly, I am a HUGE DVF loyalist. To the point where I begged my husband for a beautiful riding coat this year as my birthday present. I am a little disappointed to see her designs being copied especially within the same season. I guess it's a good thing to be a copied, means that you are desired?

For a fraction of the price, I'm making Ann Taylor Loft my new go-to spot for winter gear.

Here is the Ann Taylor Replica-

Shopping Blues...

Hi! So it's been a while that I've had a chance to post, but I've been in a fashion slump. So for those that are wondering, I finally did cave on the E&J booties and decided that they were too cute to pass up. What made it more enticing was that I got them on sale for 40% reduction at Saks Fifth Avenue! With a deal like that who can resist?

Anyways, back to my fashion blues, there just doesn't seem to be anything good out there these days. The return to minimalism makes me grimace and turn to my closet from 10 years back for fashion forward pieces. Odd? I think so! Although I have to say, I'm a sucker for timeless pieces and anything that has any contatation of Audrey Hepburn.

Next up on my must haves for the season... a trip to my parents and rummaging through boxes of stored sweaters from years past. The return of fair isle design, has me running to my sweaters from my sophomore year in college.

At least it's a good thing if they still fit? :) And, I guess money not spent is money saved.

Have a good evening and talk to you in a few! I have a list of shoes I've been gawking out but not willing to dish out the money to splurge on... let's see if they too go on sale. :)

Elizabeth James Sky Suede Booties with Elastic Straps

So today, I came across these gorgeous shoes from Elizabeth & James. I must admit, I had never heard of the designer until about two days ago when I randomly cruised on to a site that had their shoes featured. I decided to go to the mall for a walk, and to my pleasant surprise these eye catching beauties had me stop in my tracks. I tried them on, fell in love and then left them at the store. Gladly so. I came home to find out the Full House twins are the owners of this brand - anI don't know seems like $350.00 dollars for a brand by the kiddie squad is a bit much...when DVF costs just the same? I'm not sure. I do love them and they are sitting in my online shopping cart at Saks, Nordstrom, and Neimans! What's a girl to do?! Anyways, wanted to get your thoughts? Cute or Not? Pass or Scoop? Let me know!
